Toms Shoes
Have you read today's The Star? Yes, I did despite having a paper to sit tomorrow. The heading: Shoes for tomorrow... The sub-heading: By donating a pair of shoes for every one sold, Blake Mycoskie is helping to eradicate a deforming foot disease in Ethiopia. Let's get it short and clear. This guy makes an effort to help the poor in the African country. He opens a business which produces shoes and donates 1 pair with every 1 pair sold. The most important thing is the name he established for the shoe company - Toms Shoes. Why is it Toms? It stands for tom-morrow.. This simple, 32-year-old guy had indeed touched my heart, or most probably touched many readers' when they read the article today. His goal for the business - not to earn as much as he can, but to donate as many pairs of shoes as he can afford to.. World is indeed brighter with benevolent and charitable soul like Mycoskie. |

Triang
Was back from Pahang earlier afternoon.. As you can see from the above photos, we went there for a wedding dinner - Raymond's friend, who's also a senior from UM. It was my first time in Triang.. a very small town located somewhere near to Tasik Bera, 2 and half-hour journey from KL. It's a new place for me.. It's a completely different village from the ones we had in Kluang. It's smaller and the residents are more captivated in their own daily activities in the same area... We started driving on Saturday noontime.. Raymond drove slowly as we had to search for the place according to a location map given by his friend. When we reached Temerloh tol, there's still a long distance away before we found Triang. All along.. I had the opportunity to gaze at the long and wide Sg.Pahang.. it's really a huge river all along the road... At night after the dinner.. I coincidently looked up in the sky.. There is when I found that skies away from hustle-bustle of city are always clearer especially when there is no rain.. there are countless of in the sky.. The immediate reaction in my mind isn't to count how many but to pick them down one by one.. LoL. The sky is soooooo beautiful with the stars twinkling.. it's been such a long time since I've seen so magnificent view.. It's really a splendid journey despite the tiredness.. but I've seen into another culture and different sceneries in just a tiny dot across the peninsular... |

WHAT a DAY~
When you're really unlucky.. and there u go.. REALLY BAD LUCK all the way...I just came back to hostel from Kluang.. Thought all should be going on smoothly until I reach UM because, well weather is so hot.. of coz there should not be any rain.. Neither did I realised that there are a lot of things beyond our control. After I alighted the bus from Pudu, as usual I will walk a distance until I reach Pasar Seni station. Well, when I was just few steps away from the station, my one of the strap of my travel bag was detached. In other word, PUTUS. It's been so long since I used this bag and this is the reason why it suddenly broken. And so, I had to rely on the other strap and hold on until I reach hostel... Next, I bought the Universiti station ticket and that mean I was supposed to take the lrt facing that direction. BUT.... I entered the lrt facing the opposite direction! At first I din realise I took the wrong train. After a while when they announced.. station berikutnya, Masjid Jamek.. only I was shocked. I feel like laughing because it's the first time I made such mistake! But of course I managed to hold it coz people would think I'm nuts.. so, I quickly got out from the lrt and waited for the other one in the opposite direction~ After reaching Uni station, I decided not to wait for public bus. So I walked into UM... by the time I reached the main gate.. the guard stopped me. He asked me if I'm a student here. He asked where I was heading to. I told him, nak pergi First College. That Indian guard asked, untuk urusan aper? I said, saye tinggal di sane... He replied.. Mane matric card? *student card*.. Then, with one of my hands holding heavy books & files, and the other shoulder was carrying the bag.. I searched for my purse and then handed him my card. He asked, kenape tak pakai? I said.. biasanye kite tak pakai punye.. He asked, KENAPER? I was so energetic-less to answer him. I repeated the same answer.. and replied: Terima Kasih. Then, I walked away. Please.... normally they wont check on us like that. I'm really unlucky to meet such a security guard.. I thought everything ended......... After that, I decided to ON my laptop to check on some assignments.. Xiaorong told me she cleaned and updated the virus in it ady.. So, I was happy and glad coz it's never easy to use the wi-fi line to update anti-virus.. When I on it, the system appeared to be working very slowly at the beginning.. ok.. I waited. Then, when the main window appeared.. everything is so different! I was a bit shock.. At the first moment, I was thinking about the documents I had stored.. Luckily, I managed to save them in d' drive for prevention if any virus make the laptop unable to function. This laptop now.. seems like the one we had just formatted. My wallpapers, files and some pictures all GONE. But the more important ones, are still in d drive. Thank God. And there it is.. my UNLUCKY day.. I hope nothing will shock me again until I sleep tonight......... |

Genting~
I went for a trip to Genting wif my bunch of Business coursemates.. a total of 12 of us departed on Wednesday and stayed for a night there. That was a really nice trip.. and full of excitement.. When we reached, they suggested to have sushi for lunch. And, thus.. there we went to Sushi King.. I only ate 3-4 plates.. though the price is RM2 per plate.. LoL. I did not have much cravings for sushi.. =) eating it is just a pleasure.. After that, we placed our luggage at the hotel before we left for the outdoor themepark activities.. FYI, the all themepark fees only costed us RM26 per pax.. That was really very cheap! Because XiaoRong's sis works there.. so, we had this real affordable discounted price! Thanks to her.. So, we did not wasted the ticket.. To be honest, we managed to play up to 70% of the different thrilling & moderate rides..~ That was really once in a lifetime I managed to do so.. perhaps, really depends on what kinda friends we go with.. ^^ they're all daring, crazy and nuts.. haha.. We played till 7pm! And then, joined some of them who're not playing for dinner time. We chose to eat at food court because wanted to save $ instead of choosing buffet earlier.. We took a bath later and continued with the indoor theme park rides.. LoL. Everything ended at midnight when we went for supper at Old Town before headed back to the hotel.. The next day, we continued with playing the indoor game machines before we left for lunch at Sushi King again.. LoL. Because it was cheap... We eneded the trip at 1 sumting and reached UM at 4pm.. =) really had great moments with them.. I will miss them lots..~ |

statistics
Most of the statistics state:More couples are into late marriages.. This DID alerted and made me said YES with it. Now, even if the statistics have proven that single-person households are on the rise, I don't really believe it. There are simply a lot of the couples who got married and settled down earlier than the estimated age. Preferably, 24-27 years old. This is so true when I look around. Seeing friends around me to receive 'red bombs' from time to time. They are just in their mid twenties... Perhaps, statistics are more accurately proven if judge it holistically. |

only demands..
No assignments. No browsing for infos. No more staring at laptop for hours. Let me have these, TEMPORARILY. I want to watch TV. I want to lie down and read magazines. I want to have girls' talk with mum and sis. I want to chat with dad. That is all I wished to have. Back at home.... Labels: . |

happiness
Despite the hectic schedule with the remaining assignments, it is always something that is worth to feel happy for. As usual, everyday me & Raymond will meet up for dinner together. It is always a blessing to have dinner with him and to update daily news in each other's life. And surprisingly, he messaged me and asked me to dress nicer because he's gonna treat me for dinner! Not just a simple dinner.. but, we went to Sunway's T.G.I.Friday's. It was my second time in TGIF and I was so excited as this is suggested by him. It's also his second time there. (due to the very pricy menu, we never been there together, our first times were with our company colleagues) There is the ultimate reason why he wanna treat me. Haha.. Of coz because he has extra money.. LoL. It's because of tiny increment in salary and it's worth celebrating for. It was really a happy day for me and we managed to shop for a while before we left. |

destiny
Finally I managed to capture a photo with HanDong, the Korean guy. He was so passionate and anxious to take out his camera after we ended the second last class yesterday. After snapping some photos, we chatted for a while as the class ended earlier. HanDong is a very nice guy. He likes to say Thank You and is very grateful for our help towards him all this while. He will greet us, Have a nice day! at times *so sweet of him* I guess, that will really make me think - Koreans are friendly persons. Well, he kept saying that we took care of him and he feel that Malaysians are nice and helpful people! * i guess that is because of our friendliness and willingness to assist him* He's gonna go back to Korea in just 2 weeks' time, 17th April. And even mentioned, he will gonna miss Malaysia a lot. *sob* I will miss him a lot too.. He kept repeating: "Come to Korea and find me. I wanna repay to you because you helped me when I'm in Malaysia. In Malaysia, I can't do anything for you, because I'm not very familiar with here...." "If Korea, you can stay at my house...." "Must come to Korea..." I told him that I will go one day when I managed to get a job and save enough money. He's going to enter the military service in Korea from next year. Will lasts for 2 years. (And I also found out that 60 years ago, the service required 3 years' period. Now shorten to 2 years. They are not allowed to go home unless for any holiday, will back home only for 2-3 days.) I'm gonna miss him. Although it's just a very short time for us to know each other...... |
