Tuesday, May 4, 2010 @ 1:42 PMget movin' on!
Life's predicted. True or false? My intuition tells me, it's true but on conditions. That's when you feel you've tried your very best in committing certain things and the outcome isn't as satisfying as you've expected it to be. My personal judgement tells me certain things don't work out the way you wanted it to be. And that's an ordeal for us; how are we going to handle our disappointment. It isn't very difficult but it requires certain amount of time to heal the wound. Most importantly, life's not always smooth sailing. Just like driving on the road. You might have to stop when you're at a red light's junction. You might have to make a U-turn when you realised you're not travelling on the right route. At times, you have to avoid potholes when you're behind the wheel. Life's full of barriers. You're allowed to feel sad over the negative results but at the end of the day, you must get back on your feet again by telling yourself; that's part and parcel of life. The next day is another brand new day. Life goes on. =) p/s: A blog specially for YOU. |

Thursday, April 22, 2010 @ 1:33 PMLife is GOOD
OFTEN, people ask “How’s life?” as a polite gesture, or a way of starting a conversation. The answer is always similar : “Okay”, “Fine”, or “Damn! Life sucks.” One day, it occurred to me – isn’t life a greater thing than what we give it credit for? Fine or okay don’t seem to satisfy me, so here is my perception of life. Life is something that can't be seen; it has to be lived, experienced and enjoyed. Every living being gets one life and one chance to make things right. That life ought to be enjoyed and loved as well as lived to the max. Many people's perception of life is shallow or narrow. For some, it is about success and wealth. As for the rest, it's just time passing by. From what I observe, there are 3 categories of people: * Those who place wealth and success at the top of their priorities. These people know nothing about having fun. It always has to be about dollar signs, status, prestige and how the world looks at them. However, they aren't aware that life is never going to last. * Those who hate life. These people often look irritated when asked how life is, and will reply that it sucks. They have no freaking idea what they are talking about. Life definitely isn't a straight road. It has bumps, holes, rocks and roundabouts. But at the end of the road, you'll reach your destination and see that it was worth fighting for. A perfect life would be boring. We will have many ups and downs but eventually everything will be fine. It's only a matter of time. * Those who are always carefree and calm and just take life as it comes. They stress over the neccessary things, laugh more often and they treat life as their best friend. They are the people I favour and try to be like. The bottom line is, life's amazing. So, before you ask me how life is, think twice and ask me only when you have an hour free to hear me out. An article by MIRIAM GUNA -A very meaningful cutout from The Star. =) |

Monday, April 5, 2010 @ 5:55 PMmy sweetheart is back!
Finally..... I can online again!I still remember the day when I had a drink at night with SN and SE after visiting YH's bb. I told 'em about my laptop's condition and they reminded me to fix it soon rather than waiting for it to burn down. However, who'd ever expect that my laptop actually broke down the next day after their advice. Thanks to their useful words. LoL. =D I haven't had the time to actually get into my desktop page when the lappie kept ON and OFF on the windows log-in page. That was awful. The lappie was in really emergency condition whereas I needa head to KL the next day. So, I only managed to squeeze out the time to send it into ICU after I got back from KL. For now, although it is physically old, but I've got a completely new features inside. They had installed Windows 7 and it looks so fancy to me. Haha. I look to explore new things.... I hope this time the lappie can last for another 1 or 2 years before I can save enough to buy a new one. *hopefully* |

Wednesday, March 24, 2010 @ 9:56 AMdilemma ends
Wow, it sounds pretty good news for me. After going through several interviews, two companies offer me jobs at the same time... For which, I think I can finally start working at either of the company anytime soon..........(so happy)After going through 3 phases of interview at IBM and the other private limited company called Texlon, who would believe that after screening and weighing pros and cons and suitability, I have to come out with a conclusion that both are OUT from the acceptance reality. That is the conclusion after consulting a coursemate who is currently in IBM and also chatting with dad. The details arent that suitable to be revealed here in the blog. That's too long to write. LoL. Dad said it's better to find a suitable one rather than to be so desperate for a job. "We do not work because we want to work" whereas "We work because we like the work". It's good to apply for the position that suits me but going for interviews is to know the company better. If I don't have the passion for the job, I should reject if they offer me. And I also know the reason why he's saying this. It's to avoid me from job-hopping in the end. And, so... I shall anticipate for the next call of interview... |

Monday, March 15, 2010 @ 11:07 PMm-o-u-l-d-y
I'm gradually turning mouldy at home..Ever since I've made this decision, I know I have to stick to it and move forward. No more doubts anymore. But, the searching process is unbelievably tough as well as the waiting time, miserably slow. Not the ones that I want belongs to me. There are so many tonnes of competitors out there.. fighting for the same position. Well, I also don't dare to hope for much right now. The big dreams of a lil' girl were all dashed once upon a time ago.. because I realised that .......lots of things are outside of our plan. They can bounce out out of a sudden, they may not be the ones that you're expecting or may not the the circumstances that you've expected them to be. It does makes me feel so restless facing all the unexpected situations which affect the arranged plan. In the end, I will tell myself.. "Well, life has to go on...", this is the main reason that gets me still moving on..... |

Wednesday, March 10, 2010 @ 6:01 PM

Tuesday, March 2, 2010 @ 2:13 PMback to my hobby
It's been so long since I was away from blogging world. It's time to brush off the mouldy blog and make it alive again! It's already March 2010 and I'm still moving on. Working hard to find the precious thing that belongs to me. First of all, back to my main interest, reading. It's been so long since I've read any other reading materials except for newspapers and gossip mags. And so, I looked around me and realised that I have yet to buy any books since few years ago. How time flies. Was busy with campus life and then, work. When I've finally made 'this' decision, I know I ought to do something that would help to make the time ticks faster. READ. When I'm doing nothing and I'm idling away right now, the best element to enhance me spiritually and mentally, is just a word called BOOK. I'm not a good reader but I always love to know more than what I have. Therefore, I went to MPH last week and purchased Law of Attraction. I heard from many that it's a good book. Worth reading. And so, I woke up every morning as usual like the time I went to work, I opened the book and read few pages per day. It's the book that made us feeling "full" everyday. =) |

Thursday, December 24, 2009 @ 8:57 AMtapping
Which was the last time someone tapped on your shoulder?Tapping shoulder somehow represents a lot. That’s what my aunt in Kluang once told me. This is because action speaks louder than words. When you sincerely tap your hands on someone’s shoulder, it could mean more than a word “care”. It’s because you only choose the person who means a lot to you that would allow you to do such action. To me, I do agree with my aunt. When I flashed back the words she once said, I figured out what she meant. When was the last time we touched and tapped on someone’s shoulder? Let's do it now. Let’s spread our care and love. |

Wednesday, December 16, 2009 @ 6:02 PMone day...
Many said working in fast-paced countries like HongKong and Singapore is really unimaginably tough. Because everyone is moving so fast; even the time for you to sit down and take a deep breath also don’t have it.Speaking of these, recently I came upon this listener of a radio station. He mentioned that he is finding so hard to survive in KL and it’s no longer a suitable place to accommodate people. Is KL also moving towards a fast-paced city? I do agree. But it’s still not as terrible as that he has said. I feel that everyone here is so busy with their work and they have dedicated all of their time to their jobs. After whole day work, there comes the unbelievable traffic congestion on the roads. Once they reach home, it is already nearly time to sleep. How about those having children? Will they have ample time to communicate with them? How will this be in 10 years to come? I couldn’t imagine….. We have lots of instant food now. We have high-speed Internet connectivity. Will we have highly automated rotating work desk, dining table, kitchen, wardrobe and bed so that we can always work and do things at anytime and anywhere we can? Or perhaps the word SOHO is meant for everyone? No more offices.. but working away from home. Sounds good! |

Tuesday, December 8, 2009 @ 1:23 PMall about the DEAL..
Recently really do not have the time to blog much, this is when work comes first in life.My job is basically dealing with people. All kinds of people out there... may they be fat, thin, tall or short. I don't mind it when they are of diverse physical appearances. I don't even mind when it comes to racial differences. Sometimes I just bother too much when humans have so much in their attitude and behavioral diversities. Everyday I face various of people. Some of them can be very kind and soft-spoken. While some are just so nasty and they would spit lots of vulgar words, u-know-it-all. I thank God for creating so many different human beings on earth especially the great ones, with big hearts. And I am truly grateful for meeting so many rude people where it would require me to study their attitudes and apply different dealing skills onto them. Once my friend told me she was surprised to see me dealing with people whereas I am more to sitting down and doing my own work in my own small world. Well, today I am happy that I am learning new things that are beyond my expectations. Everyday, there are new things to absorb and I am seeing improvements in the way I deal with people. In Chinese, "we learn as we grow old".

Sunday, November 8, 2009 @ 10:44 AMmy 2nd home..
To be honest, I never had much time to online.. except for weekends, when I'm back at home, (Kluang).Well, this time I've snapped some photos of my workplace.. Was actually to show my parents.. and at the same time, to update my blog. Fyi, I'm working in Sunway Lagoon Club Bhd. Well, it's more or less a place where we offer members all sorts of facilities ranging from swimming pool, steam baths, jacuzzi, gym, various courts (tennis, squash, badminton), cafe and banquet hall for functions. Yeah, of course we, as the staff there, have the opportunities of enjoying and utilising the facilities there without paying. But.. I doubt I have ample time to do that, except that I feel I really need some sorts of exercise... These are some photos of my club: ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() I love the working environment. My manager is very friendly and yet sometimes very strict with the work requirements which enables me to learn a lot from her. My colleagues, are a bunch of crazy and lovely young ladies.. Lunch, shopping and chattings are all there when we're together....... Till then............................. |

Thursday, October 22, 2009 @ 8:32 PMmy job
![]() It's almost a week I started working.. if I didn't glance at the calendar, I might not realise it. How time flies.. And perhaps next week, I will be getting my half month's salary. LoL. Anywy, it's not easy at all working as Member Relations Executive. The name sounds so professional.. but behind this title, there are indeed lots of things to do. Not only to deal with the members of the club, where most of them are from 'better' background, but also to be able to memorise as much steps as I can so that I know how to key in their personal data and things like that. By the way, inserting data isnt that simple as I've always thought. Because they have this specific system that keep records of the members, whether they are still active, terminated or surrender etc. Besides, there are certain B&W procedures that needed to be done, too. Such as transfer of membership or nomination of members etc. As all these involve shares of the Sunway Group, more attention is needed and no mistakes are allowed. Kinda tough right now. But I will try my best to learn and understand more as I have two very friendly and helpful mentors right now. Although they're promoted to other departments, but they are still here to assist me until I'm familiar with all these. Also, each of us will be allocated to be on MOD (Management on Duty) according to a schedule. So, it depends... perhaps I will be needed to be on duty till 10pm almost once in a week or 2 weeks. That depends on our luck too. Anyway, it's okay for me as it's a good chance for me to learn the whole club's operations.. Tomorrow's Friday.. I will have a good rest in the weekend then.. =) |

Sunday, October 18, 2009 @ 10:20 AMBiRthDay
And that's it.. I'm now officially 23 years old. Few days before my birthday... I thought a lot.. Firstly, I did not expect much from my birthday.. may they be celebrations or presents.. Secondly, my mind is entirely focused on finding a job... Thirdly, no special feeling for the coming weekend.. However, I did make an early birthday wish. It's deep from my heart, hoping that there will be a suitable job offer. I told God, I did not ask for much this birthday. And there was it, the phone call from a company inviting me to go for an interview, just the next day after I've applied for this vacancy. I went for the interview on Friday morning. For sure, I was quite nervous but the interviewers were both very nice ladies. They asked questions and it turned out that I was happily telling them stories about my campus life. Laughter was there! Then the manager came in.. it's a female. She looks stern but actually, she's quite friendly too. She told me lots of the job scope and told me that she likes me a lot (as in the qualifications) which is up to her expectations. That eventually made me feel that they would hire me. That evening, there came the news that the company wants to recruit me. Offering me the position of Member Relations Exec. I'm truly delighted and I thanked God immediately for answering my prayer. And that's my surprise birthday gift from no one, but God. This year is indeed very different and memorable.. I will make sure I work hard and cherish the job I have now.. =) Also thanks Raymond for giving me a very nice birthday gift. A watch.. And he also bought me Haagen-Daz ice-cream, for which I long to eat it since long ago.
Thank you sn, sy, yh, sf and wn for being there with me and celebrating my birthday.. |

Saturday, October 17, 2009 @ 11:44 PMi miss them....
No no.. I'm not gonna blog about my birthday yet. *Still waiting for SN to email me the photos*Anyway, have a very weird feeling for the past few minutes. Recently, I seldom log into FB and look at friends' photos. So every now and then, I would try my best to keep myself up to date all the latest news about them.. hometown or campus friends.. Suddenly realised that.. lotsa my friends are in lands faraway from Msia.. some go for work & travel packages to NZ and US, while some went to UK for further studies.. three of them are from my residential college and taking engineering course. Of course I've always dreamed of going overseas to pursue my studies back few years ago.. until now, I still have this eagerness. Yeah, I believe we are still young and just grab the chance if we're given. =) Anyway, I enjoy looking at their photos.. the architectures, sceneries and everything about the foreign country.. Through this, I can also learn more.. because it teaches me new knowledge about the places' names and etc. It's good either. That's how Internet and Facebook connect me and them.. so far, yet close at hearts. Hope all the best for them.. -right from my heart. |

Wednesday, September 30, 2009 @ 11:45 PMthings lately.......
It's been ages since I ever updated my blog.Honestly, I have too much to say and this has prevented me to feel so demotivated to type a long one here... what a negative attitude huh? However.. to avoid my blog to be seen as being abandoned.. I've decided to pen down bits of pieces of my latest happenings.. Well.. I've actually witnessed my friend's wedding and had actually been involved in the process of the wedding ceremonies.. I felt very excited, happy and truly touched especially seeing a friend who got married to a very nice guy. I really feel the happiness that is aroused throughout the wedding on 26th and 27th September 2009. It was indeed a memorable experience for me being a "sister" to the bride. Once again, thanks for inviting me and also congratz Yuan Hui.. You're now officially Mrs.Ong. =) During the day I'm helping out at my dad's company and during the night I'm eagerly browsing thru the net, hoping that I can find a job that suits my qualification. Well, I submitted few copies of resumes.. hopefully I will be called for interviews when I am back from Taiwan. I have no idea why.. I had this bizarre feeling.. feeling that time's running out.. and I feel so desperate to get a job right away.. Argh.. not a good feeling at all.. However, I trust my ability and intuitions. I will fulfill my wish soon... |

Monday, September 14, 2009 @ 11:54 PMparts-and-parcel
Looking for a job, a suitable job that matches my personality is even tougher than sitting for exams in campus.. That's the answer for a question asked by a friend through msn: the feeling of being a grad.Well.. been browsing through the net and flipping through the newspapers for which I hope to bump into some interesting and captivating job ads meant to hire fresh grad like me. Easier said than done. Reading through a lot of the ads make me feel so useless... Because I could say, almost 75% and above are more suitable for people with job experiences. But thanks to the advanced technology we have in Malaysia today. The internet is full of resources for us to just using few clicks to look for jobs. However, like I said.. lots of vacancies out there in many companies.. To find one that suits me well isn't easy just like peanuts... Yeah.. send out a few applications.. but not too many. Because I'm afraid too many choices will make it tougher to pick the best offer. Recently, I've attended an interview, by AeON Jaya Jusco. Speaking of the job description... they suit me quite well. As I don't love to sit at a place for the whole day and I love to move around.. this is the job for me! However... it's a management trainee programme. I saw from the net stating that the market rate of for the salary isn't too high.. it's just between 1.6-1.8k.. Therefore, I'm kinda ragu-ragu about it..... whereas as a degree holder.. I can find other better paid job than this. I still remember I once said.. What matters more is the job description and environment.. the ability to learn more while we are young.. salary comes next. However, I'm still wondering why do I need to consider to much? As the job that suits me has appeared alas... This is human being. And I am, the realistic one, I might say. Whatever chances that may come, I will just grab it, isn't it? Hmmmm.... thinking...... |
