things lately.......
It's been ages since I ever updated my blog.
Honestly, I have too much to say and this has prevented me to feel so demotivated to type a long one here... what a negative attitude huh?
However.. to avoid my blog to be seen as being abandoned.. I've decided to pen down bits of pieces of my latest happenings..

Well.. I've actually witnessed my friend's wedding and had actually been involved in the process of the wedding ceremonies.. I felt very excited, happy and truly touched especially seeing a friend who got married to a very nice guy. I really feel the happiness that is aroused throughout the wedding on 26th and 27th September 2009. It was indeed a memorable experience for me being a "sister" to the bride. Once again, thanks for inviting me and also congratz Yuan Hui.. You're now officially Mrs.Ong. =)

During the day I'm helping out at my dad's company and during the night I'm eagerly browsing thru the net, hoping that I can find a job that suits my qualification. Well, I submitted few copies of resumes.. hopefully I will be called for interviews when I am back from Taiwan.

I have no idea why.. I had this bizarre feeling.. feeling that time's running out.. and I feel so desperate to get a job right away.. Argh.. not a good feeling at all.. However, I trust my ability and intuitions. I will fulfill my wish soon...

parts-and-parcel
Looking for a job, a suitable job that matches my personality is even tougher than sitting for exams in campus.. That's the answer for a question asked by a friend through msn: the feeling of being a grad.

Well.. been browsing through the net and flipping through the newspapers for which I hope to bump into some interesting and captivating job ads meant to hire fresh grad like me. Easier said than done. Reading through a lot of the ads make me feel so useless... Because I could say, almost 75% and above are more suitable for people with job experiences.

But thanks to the advanced technology we have in Malaysia today. The internet is full of resources for us to just using few clicks to look for jobs. However, like I said.. lots of vacancies out there in many companies.. To find one that suits me well isn't easy just like peanuts...

Yeah.. send out a few applications.. but not too many. Because I'm afraid too many choices will make it tougher to pick the best offer. Recently, I've attended an interview, by AeON Jaya Jusco.

Speaking of the job description... they suit me quite well. As I don't love to sit at a place for the whole day and I love to move around.. this is the job for me! However... it's a management trainee programme. I saw from the net stating that the market rate of for the salary isn't too high.. it's just between 1.6-1.8k.. Therefore, I'm kinda ragu-ragu about it..... whereas as a degree holder.. I can find other better paid job than this.

I still remember I once said.. What matters more is the job description and environment.. the ability to learn more while we are young.. salary comes next. However, I'm still wondering why do I need to consider to much? As the job that suits me has appeared alas...

This is human being. And I am, the realistic one, I might say. Whatever chances that may come, I will just grab it, isn't it? Hmmmm.... thinking......

a long lost friend...
It's still so sentimental..
It's indeed a superb feeling having to meet such a good friend in FB chatbox earlier..

I'm really happy to be able to chat with her after losing in touch for around 5 years..
Flashing back.... during the times when I was in Form 4 and 5, she was still a very shy girl..
She was my classmate.. we used to sit close to each other... either me or her.. front and back to each other.. Although she was shy, but the resistance to talk never pulled her away from chatting with me.. we're such nice friends... The humbleness of hers has indeed taught me a lot, too. She was friendly, too. The smile on her face always remind me of the friendliness of hers...

She's Yi Zhen. Once a girl-next-door, a shy girl.. has become much more tough and matured now. She's a lady of the hospitality world. She took up this course right after SPM and went overseas to pursue her dream. She's still in Australia now.. doing double major. That's awesome. She's no longer the shy girl anymore. She told me her bunch of college friends dug her bravery out. I am truly happy to be able to chat with her again.

It suddenly reminds me of the past. The days we were younger, we were still innocent.. I'm missing it.. the good old days of teenhood...

If you're reading this, Yi Zhen.. I truly hope all the best for you and take care ya... =) till we meet again...

a SCAM

BEWARE, ladies and gentlemen!

Yesterday was a horrifying experience for a friend of mine. The story goes like this:

She was walking along Jln Bukit Bintang when she bumped into a group of young guys in their early 20's. They were distributing look-like flyers thingy with "Mega Sales" written on it, to everyone passing by. It was quite interesting and my friend stopped for a while and tried her luck. It was quite similar to scratch-and-win contest. And so, when my friend opened that flyer, there was the gifts that she won. 3 products altogether... they range from foot massager, energy water system, sewing machine, vacuum cleaner to hi-fi theatre etc. While other passer-by only saw a word -thank you- in it.

And so, my friend thought that she was a lucky one. At the same time, the guy told her that she can collect the 3 prizes when she follow them back to the office where they stock the products. They kept persuading her and saying that they are registered company and not cheating at all. Adding on, the guy also mentioned that out of the 3 prizes, there remained the largest, fabulous prizes awaiting her. On the right side, there is a greyish round circle, and have to go back to the office to scan and see what is the prize. Well, adding on that it could be prizes that range from Toyota Altis, Perodua Viva, holiday package etc. Seeing that it might be a good opportunity to win one of this, my friend hesitated a while and finally, after being touched by their sincerity, she finally agreed.

Because at the same time, she needed to collect the prizes she have won. On the way to the place, that guy kept saying that he wished I could win a car as he can receive commission up to RM1000. Upon reaching, she was brought to an office to meet the manager of the company. The company name is Starr Healthcare (M) Sdn Bhd, located in Kuchai Lama. She smelled something was going on wrongly but that manager even showed her few newspaper articles, stating that lots of people have won from this contest. She read through the news and saw the photos. Everything seemed so real. The manager even said that if she really wins a car or laptop etc, I can immediately collect the product that day itself.

At this moment, they came up with a HOWEVER.. it would required my friend to pay a sum of RM5600 as a government tax for the 3 products she have won and company advertisement fees. After explanation and persuasion, my friend finally agreed to it. She went to ATM in a nearby bank and withdrew an amount of RM5*** before heading back to the office. At this time, they took out a form and jotted down all the serial numbers of the bank notes. As the amount hasn't reach RM5600, the manager volunteered to fork out RM600 for my friend. Seeing that, my friend never suspected him at all.

They explain a lot on the large prizes that she can have the chance to win. Saying that the holiday package to Bali worth RM7000 and it can be converted to cash if my friend does not want to go Bali. For this, my friend can earn Rm1400 after paying Rm5600. Also, if my friend won the car, they will bring her to police station immediately claiming that the car's owner is my friend as written on the document. They said if her current bank account has more than Rm3000, she can receive special benefits such as do not need to pay road tax and car insurance up to 3 years' long.

After being psycho and everything.. for which she thought it was real, they started scanning the round circle on the card. The results showed that it appeared as Number 13. According to the list of prizes, Number 1 is Toyota Altis and Number 2 is Proton Persona followed by Perodua Viva etc. Well, number 13 is a Jade Mattress, they claimed that it a Made in Japan product with good quality and the selling price in the market now is Rm8000 etc. My friend do not desire for it and tried to tell the guy that she doesn't want it. The guy said that he can help to find a friend from Singapore to sell the mattress. But to contact the friend, it has to be at night. And so, my lady friend went back with 4 items altogether. They were helpful to help her carry all these.

Upon reaching home, the more she thinks, the more she feel something was wrong. After searching the Internet, my friend finally broke down. She was cheated. All of this is a scam. The so-called Scratch-and-Win contest that was FAKE.

This is a true story and I have tried to search the net for more info. Lots of people are getting cheated and we must spread it out asap to avoid them getting deceived of their hard-earned money. Some of the links for which you can read as reference:

Friends, be alert and quickly avoid them approaching you. The happening places are such as areas nearby Times Square, Jln Bukit Bintang, Sg.Wang..

another month.....
It's already September.
Lots of my friends who have graduated have got their jobs and even received their first salary in life. However, it isn't my turn yet...

Because I have just started finding suitable jobs and sending resumes two days ago. Truly, I'm not the one who can simply grab any job that's available in the market. I would rather choose it wisely but of course, not too slow like an old woman as I know first job in life means a lot to me.

Although graduation has ended almost 3 weeks ago, but it is still very fresh in my mind.

The reason is because I've just received a congratulation card from my aunt in Klang. enclosed together is a cheque for which it is meant as an incentive to me for my graduation. My mood sped really high once I saw the card. It's really thoughtful of her and uncle.
Right away that moment, I truly feel that I've been so lucky. I'm always surrounded by parents, sibling, relatives and friends who care for me ever since I'm born on this earth. Although we seldom meet, but my aunt always send her regards to us no matter how busy she is with her travelling to England every now and then. She's always here with us although we're far physically.

I truly cherish the kinship that I have all this while..........
