It's almost a week I started working.. if I didn't glance at the calendar, I might not realise it. How time flies..
And perhaps next week, I will be getting my half month's salary. LoL.
Anywy, it's not easy at all working as Member Relations Executive. The name sounds so professional.. but behind this title, there are indeed lots of things to do.

Not only to deal with the members of the club, where most of them are from 'better' background, but also to be able to memorise as much steps as I can so that I know how to key in their personal data and things like that. By the way, inserting data isnt that simple as I've always thought. Because they have this specific system that keep records of the members, whether they are still active, terminated or surrender etc.

Besides, there are certain B&W procedures that needed to be done, too. Such as transfer of membership or nomination of members etc. As all these involve shares of the Sunway Group, more attention is needed and no mistakes are allowed. Kinda tough right now. But I will try my best to learn and understand more as I have two very friendly and helpful mentors right now. Although they're promoted to other departments, but they are still here to assist me until I'm familiar with all these.

Also, each of us will be allocated to be on MOD (Management on Duty) according to a schedule. So, it depends... perhaps I will be needed to be on duty till 10pm almost once in a week or 2 weeks. That depends on our luck too. Anyway, it's okay for me as it's a good chance for me to learn the whole club's operations..

Tomorrow's Friday.. I will have a good rest in the weekend then.. =)

And that's it.. I'm now officially 23 years old.

Few days before my birthday... I thought a lot..
Firstly, I did not expect much from my birthday.. may they be celebrations or presents..
Secondly, my mind is entirely focused on finding a job...
Thirdly, no special feeling for the coming weekend..

However, I did make an early birthday wish. It's deep from my heart, hoping that there will be a suitable job offer. I told God, I did not ask for much this birthday. And there was it, the phone call from a company inviting me to go for an interview, just the next day after I've applied for this vacancy. I went for the interview on Friday morning. For sure, I was quite nervous but the interviewers were both very nice ladies. They asked questions and it turned out that I was happily telling them stories about my campus life. Laughter was there!

Then the manager came in.. it's a female. She looks stern but actually, she's quite friendly too. She told me lots of the job scope and told me that she likes me a lot (as in the qualifications) which is up to her expectations. That eventually made me feel that they would hire me.

That evening, there came the news that the company wants to recruit me. Offering me the position of Member Relations Exec. I'm truly delighted and I thanked God immediately for answering my prayer.

And that's my surprise birthday gift from no one, but God. This year is indeed very different and memorable.. I will make sure I work hard and cherish the job I have now.. =)

Also thanks Raymond for giving me a very nice birthday gift. A watch.. And he also bought me Haagen-Daz ice-cream, for which I long to eat it since long ago.

No no.. I'm not gonna blog about my birthday yet. *Still waiting for SN to email me the photos*

Anyway, have a very weird feeling for the past few minutes. Recently, I seldom log into FB and look at friends' photos. So every now and then, I would try my best to keep myself up to date all the latest news about them.. hometown or campus friends..

Suddenly realised that.. lotsa my friends are in lands faraway from Msia.. some go for work & travel packages to NZ and US, while some went to UK for further studies.. three of them are from my residential college and taking engineering course. Of course I've always dreamed of going overseas to pursue my studies back few years ago.. until now, I still have this eagerness. Yeah, I believe we are still young and just grab the chance if we're given. =)

Anyway, I enjoy looking at their photos.. the architectures, sceneries and everything about the foreign country.. Through this, I can also learn more.. because it teaches me new knowledge about the places' names and etc. It's good either. That's how Internet and Facebook connect me and them.. so far, yet close at hearts.
