- '09 It was a splendid Valentine’s with Raymond. First of all, our valentine celebration came unplanned. Everything went on unpredicted except to Ulu Yam. The reason for not having any special meal at restaurants/cafes because it will cost him a bomb just for a single couple meal, which we had experienced last year at Itallianies. Thus, we do not want to waste so much money for food. On 214, we went to Ulu Yam lake in the noontime. I came to know this place went I searched through the Net for some interesting places within Selangor. We stopped the car by the lake, we sat under coconut trees and we ate some snacks and chatted for almost an hour. It was a nice scenery although it was quite hot that time. You will never realized that the lake was actually a water reservoir for the residents in Klang Valley. It is located about 30 minutes’ drive from KL city. Then, we headed to the Ulu Yam’s town and searched for Lor Mee, which is a very famous food in the area. Finally, we happened to see a signboard with it written. So, we had our lunch there. After that, I thought we will just head back to PJ. But little did I expect that Raymond will ask if we move on to Genting, just for a casual stroll at the cooling highland. The reason is that, it just took us almost 16 km to reach Genting from Ulu Yam. So, why not? He said. I replied, “but I’m wearing a singlet.” I hesitated. But I did not reject. Then, we followed the signboard and drove all the way up the hill to the Skyway – cable car. Such an adventurous outing..~ It was an incredible journey, as we were unsure if a Kancil could go up on a hilly road. And there we were, at the Skyway. We bought the tics and hopped into the cable car. We reached Genting at around 4pm. We shopped and captured some photos before we went back around 6pm! LoL After that, I asked him where shall we have our dinner. I never thought of anywhere to go. He suggested we go for a steamboat feast at Sunway. We reached the restaurant at around 8pm due to heavy traffic congestion, and we had to queue for another hour. As there were simply too many people waiting for their turn. Finally, we finished our dinner at 11pm and there it was, our second Valentine’s Day. And, Raymond got me a pair of pig-skin lining shoe with colourful cartoons imprinted and sewn on it! It was a unique one...~
