What does BEAUTIFUL defines? It is not pretty. It is not gorgeous. It is not that simple after all. To me, it means more than that. This is how I describe it. Beautiful stands for B rave E legant A ttentive U ntiring T houghtful I mpressive F lexibility U nbeatable L ively Beautiful encompasses every elements of good morale values which embrace all of a person's positive values. This feeling comes after I watched CNN Heroes - a TV programme and award giving ceremony to the brave people all over the world, who have sacrifice themselves for others who need lending hands. I was deeply touched and felt that beautiful humans are not judged just by the appearances, but with their inner strengths and capabilities to do what's best to the needies. That's the way we say it as truly, BEAUTIFUL. |

Mumbai Attacks in India which happened yesterday night left me in questions. Why do they wanna take innocent lives away by attacking and bombing hotels, restaurants and railway station when all they want is to confront is the government? The foreign tourists, residents and all the Mumbaikars are so innocent in this frightful incident. I begin to keep asking.. WHY, WHY and WHY? I guess all of us have the same queries in minds, too. You know what? The first question the terrorists entered into the Taj Mahal and Oberoi hotels was : WHo are the Americans and British people? They wanted THEM first. This is cruel in the sense that the T wanted to gain attention from US about their attacks. This is so not JUSTFUL at all.. The PM of Japan described it as despicable and vicious acts. I was sitting by the TV set since yesterday, the moment I heard from my dad about this incident. I tuned into CNN and kept myself updated every second about every move of the terrorists. What's the motive behind this? There is still a big Question Mark. Heard that it is related to religion. At that moment, I had the sudden thought : How do these people feel that ultimate juncture? The hostages in the hotels The family caught in the Jewish centre The Mumbaikars The hotel owner and employees The family members of the victims The soldier and rescue teams The on-site reporters (risking their lives for the on-time news) The Prime Minister of India - Manmohan Singh The financial hub of India - Mumbai That is the one action, that have left such a big impact on more than one person, one community, one population and others in the world. My deep condolences to the victims and their families. Pray that Malaysia will remain peaceful forever. |

Fuel price dropped by 15 cents again! This is such a great news when we first heard it. But this isn't something worth to celebrate for. The government reduced it until RM2.00 now doesn't mean the food out there will be decreased at the same time. This is so worrying. Especially for the low-income families. What's the purpose of reduction? Of course the main objective is to drive down the prices of food out there. But, where's the action? Nothing can be seen. There's the only obvious actiont taken is by the low price leaders hypermarkets. Carrefour is the most visible hypermarts that took initiative to lead others to lower the prices of food products, especially the main food element - rice. Well, hopefully the vendors would realise the importance of collaborating with the government in order to bring down the prices as well as to reduce part of the financial burden to many people out there...

Hurray!! The exam ordeal is finally over... I'm totally freed from the battles...!!Everyone would normally suggest some events right after the last paper. So, it's not an exceptional for me. Coz my collegemate asked us to join them in the Jogoya japanese buffet - ladies 50% week!.. And so... without hesitation, I agreed. My roommates both joined the group too..~ a total 10 of us............ departed from UM at around 1pm today. We reached Starhill Gallery around 1.50pm, just punctually to be at Jogoya to start the buffet at 2pm and it lasted for 2 hours. I shall let the pictures tell more... The day is finally over... Delicious food can't been seen.. They are all in my stomach. Will be digested into pool of 'poo' tmr morning... |

Just left the last paper on the coming Monday. Gonna be quite a challenging paper. Coz we have no idea where to focus on although the lecturer did mention which chapters are important.
The main reason is because she asked us to browse through Domino's pizza's website.. WHY? I also have no idea. It is a case study which will be appearing on the test paper on Monday. We're wondering, how does she ask the questions? We're on the edge of mind-bursting, figuring out the important scope to focus on. It's Electronic Marketing. How's the paper today? I guess it was okay for me. But somehow many said it s***ks. There was a gal sitting few rows behind me.. When our papers were collected at the end, she shouted "The most sh*t paper I've ever had!" LoL. Coz there were really too many questions to answer in 2 hours. The first section, 4 sub questions with a total of 50 marks. Then, the next section, 3 subquestions and total of 50 marks. Imagine, each question has an average of 10-15 marks, and each point will be counted as 2 marks. How many points do we need to write as to obtain the desired marks? Our hands became numb when it almost reached the end of the time. WHY they like to insert so many questions and only gave us 2 hours to answer? It's somehow sickening because lately, the papers all were full of questions........ and, time management is really very essential. But, during exams, we need to jot down the important points, and who will tend to keep looking at the time? Perhaps, they thought we're experts and can handle well as we are uni students.. sigh... Keep going on!! Strive for the last paper... ^^ |

That day, when I was typically and unusually down..Due to the stress and all the unspeakable tensions of exams.. Did not do well in 2nd paper.... I went out wif Raymond and his sis to Midvalley. His sis wanted to drop by at MPH to search for few Law books. So, I also stepped in and without any seconds of hesitation, I walked directly to the Self-Help and Motivational section. Well, I picked up a book with the title sorta written "Rules in Life". I flipped into a page and eventually the topic is "Do not look in the past", which means telling us not to broad over what has happened. At the very seconds, I felt that the God is telling me to let go and let it be since it has already happened and no point regretting, asking questions like "What if I... or I wished I....". Then, I turned to another anonymous page which had the topic "BE positive" written there. I realised that it is somehow very true that the God do not want to see me in relentless tone. So, He is asking me to look everything at different angles. The 2 topics somehow can be said to be closely related to what I was feeling that juncture. The 2 sentences had made me to be brave and not to give up.. After that, I moved on the search for another book. There it came the "Dare to Fail". I've always wanted to read it bcoz of its frequent appearance in newspapers promoting it. So, this time I opened it and I searched for a section written "failures are just another step to near success" sort like this. I read few pages and I felt better after that. I truly think that it's a book worth it to read especially when we're down and need to release tension.... Last but not least, I also took the chance to read Obama's written book "The Audacity of Hope". Audacious means to be bold and daring. I read the first few pages of the preview section. I fall in love with this book because I feel that there's a need to comprehend what the world is becoming especially in the largest and most powerful Western region.. Well, reading books indeed brings us to another world full of hope and anticipation.. There's a lot more to discover besides probing over what has happened... |

exam fever...
The last 2 posts were so short. But in fact, short doesn't mean I'm insincere..Well, exams just started this morning. I have 4 more papers to go. I know time flies fast. So, I never hoped it to pass quicker. It is just adequate for me to revise and look through everything each day and treasure each minute. I will still rest and take a nap when I'm tired after reading all the notes. It's a norm. I will still eat and no worries. My days gone just like the normal days. Most importantly, I must work hard... go through with it - with a normal heart!! ^^ |

week-end
Mention about weekend, isn’t it has to be loads of funs?Although it’s currently study week for most of the varsity students, but I’m sure I ought to relax a while before I get back to revision. Haven’t you heard of… All work and no play makes Rachael a dull girl? Haha~ Yohoo!!! Good news for me… On Friday, I managed to obtain another 2 stamps from Guardians. Another step closer to my Paddington bear!! I’m doing it for real this time. What on earth I had purchased from G? Basically, I went there with 2 motives – get my face toner and some vitamins for me. I have a story to tell regarding Vitamins! I went to the shelves looking for my Vitamin C. So, this lady in mid-50 came to me, as an advisor regarding my lookout for vitamins. She assisted me and spent approximately 20mins to give me advises, telling her personal experiences, stories of how essential for us to have these minerals in our bodies. OMG! This Aunty Nancy even mentioned that by the first look on my face, I look unhealthy. *sob* Actually, she was reluctant to stop talking. Luckily, there was a customer needing her help. So, she gotta stop. But, before that, she even wrote her name and phone number on a piece of paper, telling me to contact her if I’m facing any queries regarding which minerals to take. How kind of her! After that, I went for movies with Raymond. We took the 7pm slot, watching High School Musical 3. Hehe. It was a nice movie. Nana.. yeap, I love the songs they composed! Raymond said he likes this better if compared to Mamma Mia! But, I basically think that these 2 has their own uniqueness. Coz HSM is for teens and MM is suitable for the adults. They both has different target markets. So, I love both.! On Saturday, I went to sing-K with Raymond’s friends. Those working mid-adults. Hehe. But, I usually don’t have the habit of grabbing the mics and sing. I normally sit and listen more. LoL. So, all of us, 8people booked the largest room which consist of a corner of to play ps2, a washroom and equipped with a large tv screen with 4 mics. To be honest, it was my first time in such a big room. Maybe I’m too ‘kiasu’. Hehe. What I wanna say is, they are hilarious. They not only sang Chinese songs, but also picked Malay, English, Cantonese and even Hokkien! I enjoyed a lot, eating and listening to those few sweet voices from my graduated collegemates. And that’s how I spent my weekend….. |
